Academic Lab for Graduates is available at Senriyama Campus, Takatsuki Campus, Takatsuki Muse Campus and Sakai Campus, where graduate students can conduct their research activities in a relaxed environment. On Senriyama Campus, depending on the Graduate School, Academic Lab for Graduates are located in the SHOBUNKAN (Graduate School Building) and IBUNKAN, and are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

One of the largest libraries in Japanese universities
The University Library on the Senriyama Campus consists of three floors above ground and two floors below, with a total area of 21,750 m2. The library is one of the best-equipped and largest university libraries in Japanese universities.
Each campus also has its own library. Together, the Takatsuki Campus Library, Muse University Library, Sakai Campus Library, and Suita Mirai Campus Library hold approximately 2.4 million books and have approximately 520,000 visitors per year. The University Library is unique in that it has a collection structure and service functions for both researchers and students, and in particular, the University Library also functions as a central library.

Extended Enrollment System that allows students to choose the number of years of study that best suits their needs
In order to meet the diverse needs of enrolled students in Graduate School and to expand opportunities for education and research, in addition to the existing 2-year course in the Master's degree(course), the "3-year course" is available in some Graduate Schools and types of the entrance examination, in which the duration of study is 3 years and students take course subjects in a planned manner. For more information on tuition, please refer to 「Tuition」. In the case of changing the Duration of Enrollment from the 3-year course to the 2-year course in the middle of the course, it is necessary to pay the tuition for the 2nd year and the 3rd year together. Please confirm the exact amount to be paid at the time of the procedure.

Assistance for research presentations at conferences, etc.

When Graduate School students attend conferences to present their research, etc., subsidies are provided for their transportation and participation expenses. The maximum subsidy amount is 20,000 yen per presentation and 10,000 yen per attendance. However, there are certain systems and limits.
outside Japan
In addition to the regular "academic conference subsidy", half of the round-trip airfare will be subsidized only once during the fiscal year in order to encourage research and reduce the financial burden for those who wish to present their research at an academic conference abroad. The limit is 100,000 yen.
Teaching Assistant (TA)
The Teaching assistant (TA) is a system introduced with the aim of enhancing the educational effectiveness of classes. Teaching assistant (TA) provide advice based on their Research subjects to learners under the supervision of the class instructor, and assist in classes (including experimental and practical subjects). Teaching Assistant (TA) work is not only remunerated, but also serves as an important career development opportunity for Graduate School students themselves, as it provides training to become future educators, researchers, and so on.
Research Assistant (RA)
The purpose of this program is to enhance the implementation system of research projects, etc. and to improve the research performance of young researchers by having outstanding Ph. D. Degree students participate in joint research projects or educational research programs conducted by Kansai University as "research assistants". They also receive a stipend for their work, which provides economic support.

Selected by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) as a recipient of the "Challenging Research Program for Next Generation Researchers", the program provides enhanced economic support for outstanding Ph. D. Degree students, as well as support for challenging and interdisciplinary research. Selected students will receive, 2,040,000 yen (annual amount) for living expenses and 300,000 yen + α (annual amount) for research expenses, plus international activity expenses (separate amount depending on research plan) in principle, for three years during the period of employment. Graduate School of Kansai Four Universities Credit Transfer Students
The "Agreement on Credit Transfer for Graduate School Students of Four Kansai Universities" has been concluded with Kansai University, Kwansei Gakuin University, Doshisha University, and Ritsumeikan University. Under this agreement, credit transfer students are mutually accepted, allowing them to take courses and earn credits at the Graduate School of each university. It may also be included in the credits required for completion with the academic advisor's permission.
Graduate School Common Courses
Graduate school common courses are designed to ensure a smooth transition from Undergraduate Faculty education to graduate school education, as well as to acquire the knowledge and abilities required of all Graduate School students. Depending on the Graduate School, this may be included in the credits required for completion of the course. For details on the handling of credits, please refer to the Graduate School Guidelines in the Kansai University Student Handbook "KAN-CAN!"
Distribution of copy card
Graduate School students will receive one copy card per student at the beginning of the academic year for photocopying resumes and research materials for class presentations. The copy card can be used to make copies at designated copy machines located in the SHOBUNKAN (Graduate School Building) and Library (with a limit on the number of copies).
International Student Dormitory
There are four dormitories operated by Kansai University and one affiliated international student dormitory. In addition to the human resource development program at the dormitory, domestic and international students live together to create a multicultural environment that fosters a global mindset on both sides. In addition, resident assistants are on hand to support students in their daily lives and to lead interactions in the dormitories, allowing students to choose the dormitory that best suits their ideal lifestyle from the features of each of the five dormitories.
