How to search for faculty information and how to contact them

Kansai University Graduate Schools does not introduce faculty members based on their research interests or forward e-mails to faculty members.
Based on your area of interest or theme, you are encouraged to find academic advisors whom you would like to work with and contact them directly.

Please confirm whether the academic advisor whom you would like to receive academic advisor is in charge of your research at the Graduate School by referring to the list of academic advisors in the Application Guidelines.

How to search

Faculty research topics and contact information are posted on each Graduate Schools Web site.

  • Kansai University Graduate Schools Information

    Each Graduate School page introduces faculty members' research topics, contact information, etc.

  • Kansai University Academic Information System [Search Faculty Members].

    Search by affiliation / Advanced search / Research area / Keyword search
    When the researcher's "Name" is selected, basic information such as Undergraduate Faculty, Department, and research activities and achievements will be displayed. Some faculty members disclose their e-mail addresses on the Basic Information page, and others may post their e-mail addresses within the website where they are listed.

  • Organization for Research & Development of Innovative Science & Technology, Kansai University Researchers

    You can search for researchers belonging to Organization for Research & Development of Innovative Science & Technology of Kansai University (our faculty members) by keywords.
    Information on all faculty members of Graduate School of Science and Engineering and some faculty members of Graduate School of Informatics and Graduate School of Societal Safety Sciences is available.

  • Kansai University Repository

    The results of education and research activities at Kansai University (academic journal articles, dissertations, bulletin papers, etc.) are made available to the public both inside and outside the university. Some Graduate Schools publish papers by current students, making it a useful tool for learning about the Graduate School's learning.

  • Kansai University Syllabus Search

    Curriculum search / Course search / Faculty search / Keyword search are available.
    The person in charge of classes, Day/Period, and class outlines are available.

How to contact

Each student should contact the faculty member directly via e-mail.

Please note that faculty members may not always reply immediately. If you have not received a reply from the faculty member more than 10 days after sending the email, please contact the Graduate School Admissions Division.

However, it may be difficult to contact faculty members during the following periods because they are outside of class periods. Please contact well in advance of the start date of online application for each date.
If the faculty member does not have a publicly available e-mail address, please contact them by letter (mail).

*Mailing of letters and other services will be suspended from August 11 to August 20 and from December 26 to January 6.

Note 1.

To avoid mismatches between your research plan and the faculty member's research area or academic discipline after enrollment, we encourage you to contact the faculty member in advance.

Note 2.

In the Graduate School of Informatics, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, and Graduate School of Psychology (Psychology Major), advanced contact with the faculty member is required prior to application.

Note 3.

The Graduate School of Health and Well-being requires the approval from the faculty members prior to application.

Note 4.

The Graduate School of Psychology (Psychology Major) does not require that you contact a faculty member prior to application. Please note that although we do not accept advanced contact (e-mail or letter, etc.), graduate school information sessions held at Kansai University Graduate Schools will include individual consultations with the faculty members in charge of the seminar.

Note 5.

For Foreign Research Student Selection, all Graduate Schools require the approval from the faculty members prior to application.
